2025 Midwest City Bombers – Football Preview – Presented by Candace Cunningham, Shelter Insurance

MIDWEST CITY BOMBERS

Coach: JACQUES WASHINGTON

5-6

OFFENSE

Former Owasso High School standout, Jacques Washington, is taking over the Bomber football program and is looking to build on the success of his predecessor Darrell Hall. “New staff, new era, there is optimism that we can sustain the success of coach Hall and his past seasons. Coach Richardson is returning to MCHS after departing from the Bombers in 2021, bringing a creative flavor to the offensive side of the ball,” said coach Washington. Everything starts up front for the Bombers. Domineuk Cochren (5-10, 250, Sr.) will start at guard with Dairdren Jones (6-3, 255, Jr.) at tackle. From run blocking to pass protection, these guys will help the offense control the line of scrimmage and allow the playmakers to do what they do best. Ryan Hollaway (5-9, 175, Jr.) is one of those playmakers at running back. Hollaway has the speed to take the rock to the house on any play. Lincoln King (5-11, 170, Sr.) is versatile enough to play quarterback or wide receiver. King has a strong arm and is a dual-threat QB who can hurt you in multiple ways. Tavion McGuire-Theus (6-0, 175, Sr.) will start at WR with Aedan Sutton (6-3, 210, Jr.) at tight end or wide receiver. McGuire-Theus is a track star who makes his return to the football field this year.

DEFENSE

The expectation for the Bomber defense is play tough, attack and be relentless. Several new faces have worked their way into a starting spot, but the team does return a few starters from last season. Jacourie Fletcher (6-3, 220, Sr.) is a quick edge rusher who can play a physical brand of football or finesse his way to the quarterback. Finrick Wren (5-10, 185, Sr.) is another attacking linebacker and a crucial component to the defense. Easton Hill (5-11, 200, Jr.) and Hayden Parent (5-9, 200, Sr.) join the linebacker corps giving the Bombers four backers who fly around the field and make plays. Dayveon Cochren (5-10, 165, So.) is a young player who is making his presence felt at one of the corner spots. Daquan Washington (5-11, 235, Jr.) will play in the trenches giving the Bombers someone who can get a good push up front and make life difficult for opposing QBs. The coaching staff consists of Rod Richardson, Dominique Barnes-Carn, Rod Richardson, JR Moore, L’liott Curry, Maurice Sanders, Joel Wall, David Mustin, Nkosiyabo Adebowale, and Dominique Barnes-Carn.
