Q&A with Midwest City’s Johnae Seay – Presented by Candace Cunningham – Shelter Insurance

VYPE: What grade are you in and what position do you play?

Johnae Seay: I’m in 12th grade this year and I play as a post.

VYPE: What part of your game is most improved coming into this season?

JS: My most improved skill this season is rebounding, because I used to never crash or box out, but I’ve improved a lot in rebounding and moving my feet.

VYPE: What do you love most about being a student-athlete at Midwest City HS?

JS: I love being a student-athlete here at MCHS like the atmosphere and how well we can manage keeping our grades up while hooping.

VYPE: What do you love most about your teammates?

JS: The thing I love most about my teammates and the different groups I’ve been with my four years here is that we are always building a strong sisterhood and riding for each other no matter if we just met.

VYPE: Which teammate always impresses you the most or do you have a former teammate who left an impression on you?

JS: I highly want to recommend my teammate Kloey Knox because being with her four years seeing the growth and improvement, she has shower is very awesome and I hope she keeps that mentality.

VYPE: Do you have a favorite place to play and what is the toughest gym to play in on the road?

JS: The toughest gym to play in I would say Classen SAS or Del City, and I say that because of how small they are and for some reason there is always bad refs there.

VYPE: What’s your favorite subject in school and do you have a favorite teacher?

JS: My favorite subject is government, and my favorite teacher is Scott Crowder.

VYPE: What would you like to do after you graduate?

JS: After I graduate, I would like to attend Langston University or OSU and attend in the nursing field.

VYPE: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

JS: In my free time I enjoy working making money but the biggest one is sleep when I have free time because it’s rare if I do.

VYPE: Who is the greatest basketball player of all-time?

JS: Lebron James of course.
